Richard leads on surveying properties, scoping the work and making sure every quote reflects what the building actually needs. He grew up in Bournemouth and has worked across a range of construction and building trades.

Our story
Level Up Homes Ltd was founded in February 2025 by Richard and Grant. Both grew up in Bournemouth, and each brings a background across a range of construction and building trades.
Since starting the business we've built solid in-house teams — trades with 15 or more years of experience in their respective disciplines. That means the people on your job are our people, not a rotating list of subcontractors.
Richard focuses on surveying properties and getting the detail right before a spade goes in the ground. Grant focuses on project management and running the teams. Between them, they make sure every project runs smoothly and finishes to the standard we'd want in our own homes.

Grant
Director — Project Management
Grant runs project management and is in charge of our teams on site — programming the work, keeping trades in the right order and making sure projects run smoothly from start to handover.
Jay Malek
Head Surveyor
Jay is our head surveyor with years of surveying experience, a qualified surveyor and architect — holding an architecture degree and RICS surveyor qualification.
Joseph
Team Leader — Carpentry
Joseph brings over 20 years in carpentry, holding a Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery, along with strong all-round knowledge of the wider building trades.
